Meanwhile, renewable energy solutions like solar farms and green grids languish. **We cannot afford a rollback on environmental protections.** This isn’t just a policy shift—it’s a giveaway to fossil fuel lobbyists. Powerful oil and gas companies are poised to benefit, while Indigenous communities face the threat of having their rights ignored. This proposition fails to guarantee free, prior, and informed consent, undermining reconciliation and Indigenous sovereignty. **Instead of pouring public resources into climate-wrecking infrastructure, Canada should be building solar farms, expanding clean energy grids, and supporting resilient, low-carbon communities across the country.** We need a fast-track process for climate solutions—not climate destruction. **Later is too late.
