In fact, it's likely to make our roads more congested and dangerous.** Under the law, the Ontario government now has the power to: - **Rip out existing bike lanes** across Ontario. - **Override municipal authority** to install new bike lanes. - **Remove three critical bike lanes** in Toronto. This bill, presented as a solution to reduce gridlock, would actually do the opposite. A leaked briefing — from Ford's own cabinet — reveals that **removing bike lanes could *worsen* traffic**. \[2\] Studies show that bike lanes are not only good for cyclists. They also reduce collision risks and make roads safer for everyone. \[3\] Ontarians are grappling with rising costs of living and an escalating climate crisis. We need to invest in **safe**, **affordable**, and **sustainable transportation options** — like public transit and bike lanes — not wasting taxpayer dollars to tear out the options that already exist. **Now’s our chance to make our voices heard.** It's time to speak out against the attack on bike lanes.  Tell Doug Ford to get his priorities straight. We demand that the Ford government commits to real solutions for a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable Ontario—and stop wasting taxpayer dollars on political stunts that put lives at risk.
