This couldn’t have happened without the support of people like you!People power works, help us keep the victories coming! [Support a Global Plastics Treaty](https://act.gp/3JmB7vw) supporter has signed supporters have signed needed to reach This August, governments will meet at the UN to hopefully finalize a Global Ocean Treaty. **This is a historic opportunity** to transform how our shared global oceans are protected and managed.  From climate change and plastics, to mining and overfishing — **the threats facing our oceans are growing bigger and more urgent day by day.** Now we have a chance to turn things around, by putting the most vulnerable and biodiverse parts of our seas off-limits to destructive industries.  If governments get  the Global Ocean Treaty right, it’ll open the door to **a vast network of ocean sanctuaries, which could protect over a third of the world's seas.** A strong treaty could help build a more just and equitable ocean order.  Our oceans sustain all life on Earth— now they need us to protect them**.** **Add your name to help cover our planet in ocean sanctuaries, and call on Canada and other global governments to finalize a strong Global Ocean Treaty at the UN.** Friend, thank you for signing the petition! Will you help us get the word out to make this campaign even stronger by sharing the petition with your network? #### Thanks for sharing, Friend!
