In just five weeks, over 40,000 of you answered our call and joined our ‘Don’t Trump Canada’ campaign.

With your amazing support, we fought misinformation online, informed voters across the country, stuck it to the MAGA club, postered all around Canada, got our message out in the press, bingoed through the leaders debate, and lit up Niagara Falls.

Keep scrolling-down and enjoy diving into five weeks of electoral frenzy!

On April 15, just before the Leaders Debate, Greenpeace Canada projected our message onto the iconic Niagara Falls to call out Trump and his copycat Pierre Poilievre, who thrive on fear, division, and chaos.

More than a symbolic projection, it’s a call to action sent out to everyone in Canada and beyond. A call to fight for a world where collective solidarity replaces individualism and corporate greed.

So Elbows Up, Don’t Trump Canada, and Resist with us!

An important part of our campaign took place online, with one major objective: fighting disinformation.

Oil-loving trolls, fervent Trump supporters, and other fake news spreaders were everywhere, and so were we! To counter them, we created a wide range of popular, informational, and myth-debunking content that you shared widely with others. In just one month, we collaborated with 12 community partners to get the message out there and more than 24,116 new people joined our online movement!

This campaign would not have been the same without you and the thousands of people who rallied to take action!

Thanks to you, thousands of stickers were sent out and displayed across the country and numerous posters popped-up in our communities. With your incredible mobilization, we drew the public's attention on the stakes of this election and equipped voters to resist electoral misinformation.

The news being what it is, we felt it was important to create a space where we could share our hopes and fears for this election and beyond. What better opportunity than the famous Leaders' Debate, which can so often be hard to watch? That’s why we chose that specific evening to convene a town hall, co-organized with OnCanada Project, to take the time to talk about our communities and the world we want to build together.
