UPDATE: It’s time to scale up our demands. By burning oil, gas and coal, the fossil fuel industry is largely responsible for the climate crisis, which in turn is feeding extreme weather like wildfires, floods and heatwaves. While Big Oil continues its business-as-usual, communities are facing the increasing costs of climate disasters—but they should not face it alone. Join us in demanding a new Climate Recovery Fund to make fossil fuel polluters pay for the climate damages they are causing.

Year after year, record fires, massive floods and killer heatwaves are devastating communities and the environment. We are experiencing first hand the impacts of the climate crisis. It's scary and yet it's our reality [1] [2] [3].
We know fossil fuel companies are at the source of the climate crisis and making record profits — Canada’s six largest oil sands producers, members of Pathways Alliance, collectively booked a record profit of over $35 billion in 2022 [4].
Add your voice to tell them to pay up for the disasters they are fuelling.
Fossil fuels are by far the largest contributor to global climate change, which is making extreme weather events worse. New research shows that fossil fuels are directly aggravating forest fires [5] [6].
Toxic fire smoke coming from wildfires in Canada has blanketed cities here and thousands of kilometers away, as far as Norway, putting the health of millions of people at risk—with disproportionate impacts for vulnerable communities [7] [8] [9].
Tell the polluting Pathways Alliance members they are causing climate damage and they need to pay to repair it. You can help hold them accountable by demanding they commit to contribute to the UN's climate fund for loss and damage.
